Before the legal part
Life Hub is a tool for running a household. It is not a doctor, a pharmacist, an accountant or a financial adviser, and the numbers and reminders it shows you are only as good as what was put into it. Please do not use it as the only thing standing between someone and a missed dose.
The rest of this document is the agreement between you and us.
1. Who this is between
These Terms are between you and Craft Dreams Co. ("we", "us", "our"), based in Ontario, Canada.
"You" means the person who opens a Life Hub household. "Your household" means that household and everyone you give a login to.
By opening a household you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not open one.
2. Who may use Life Hub
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract in your province or territory.
You may give a login to anyone in your household, including a child, but you remain responsible for everything done under your household's logins and for the information entered about anyone who does not have one.
3. What we provide
A subscription to use Life Hub — the web application at
app.craftdreamsco.com and the kitchen display — for your household's own
purposes, for as long as your subscription is current.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to do that. We do not sell you the software, and nothing here transfers ownership of it.
4. Free trial
Every new household gets 30 days free, starting the day you sign up.
- No payment method is required to start. We do not ask for a card until you decide to subscribe.
- The trial runs from sign-up, not from when you confirm your email.
- When it ends, if you have not subscribed, your household becomes read-only for 30 days. You are not locked out. Everything stays visible and exportable; you simply cannot add or change anything until you subscribe.
- 30 days after that, access closes. Nothing is deleted — your data stays where it is, subscribing reopens all of it, and you can download a complete copy at any time, including after access has closed. See the Cancellation Policy.
- One trial per household. Opening a second household to get a second trial is not what it is for.
5. Subscription and payment
5.1 Price
| Plan | Price | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | CA$9.00 | Every month |
| Annual | CA$79.99 | Every 12 months |
Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are added at checkout.
5.2 How you pay
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. By subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms.
5.3 Renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time — see the Cancellation Policy.
5.4 Price changes
We may change prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change affects you, and it will never apply to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
5.5 Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry. If it keeps failing, your household becomes read-only rather than deleted, and follows the same 30-day path as a cancellation. Your data stays where it is and paying at any point restores everything.
6. What you agree not to do
Do not:
- Use Life Hub to break the law, or to harm, harass or surveil anyone.
- Enter another person's personal information without the authority to do so.
- Resell, sublicense or rent access to your household.
- Try to break the separation between households, access an account that is not yours, or test our security without written permission.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or copy the Service, except where the law says you may regardless of what this document says.
- Use automated means to scrape or overload the Service.
- Upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful or that you have no right to upload.
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your household. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right and to export your data.
7. Your content stays yours
Everything your household puts into Life Hub remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us only the narrow licence we need to run the Service: to store, copy, transmit and display your content so that we can show it back to you, back it up, and provide the features you use. That licence ends when you delete the content or your household, except for encrypted backups, which age out within 30 days.
We will not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models, and we will not sell it or use it for advertising.
8. Availability
We will make reasonable efforts to keep Life Hub available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may take it down for maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
We do not offer a service-level agreement or availability credits.
9. The important limits — please actually read this
9.1 Life Hub is not professional advice
Life Hub helps you record and organise things. It does not advise you.
- It is not medical advice. Medication reminders are a convenience, not a clinical system. They can be missed if a device is off, a notification is blocked, a battery is flat or the internet is down. Do not rely on Life Hub as the only safeguard for a medication schedule.
- It is not financial, tax or accounting advice. Budget figures, savings projections and insights are arithmetic performed on numbers you entered. If the numbers are wrong, so are the results.
- It is not a medical record, a legal record or an accounting record.
Decisions about health, money and care remain yours, and should involve the appropriate professional.
9.2 Reminders and notifications
Push notifications, emails and calendar syncing depend on third parties, your devices and your network. We do not guarantee that any reminder will be delivered, or delivered on time.
9.3 Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9.4 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from a missed reminder or an incorrect figure.
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and (b) CA$50.
9.5 What these limits do not touch
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. In particular:
- Nothing limits your rights under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002, or any other consumer-protection law that applies to you, and nothing here requires you to waive any right that Act gives you.
- Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
[REVIEW NOTE: s.7(1) CPA 2002 voids a term requiring a consumer to waive a statutory right. Section 9.5 is drafted to sit alongside that rather than against it — please confirm it does.]
10. Cancellation, refunds and closing your account
See the Cancellation Policy and the Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms.
In outline: cancel any time; you keep full access to the end of the period you paid for; then 30 days read-only; then access closes. Nothing is ever deleted because you stopped paying — subscribing reopens everything, and the export stays available permanently. Deleting your household is a separate act you take yourself, with a 30-day window to change your mind.
We may close your household if you break section 6, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering it, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data, and refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Life Hub after that means you accept the change. If you do not, cancel — and if the change lands mid-period, tell us and we will refund the unused portion.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Please write to us first: craftdreamsco@gmail.com. Most things are quicker to fix
than to argue about.
If we cannot resolve it, the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in Canada, nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim where you live, or from using any tribunal or small-claims process available to you.
13. Odds and ends
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms. We may, on notice, to a buyer of the business.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Cancellation Policy are the whole agreement between us.
- Language. These Terms are in English.
[If you sell in Quebec, a French version will be required — Charter of the French Language.]
